BQ.2 Marathon Races are specifically scheduled and designed to be your best chance to qualify for 2018 Boston at 3+ minutes under your 2018 standard to get you to the starting line in Hopkinton. The field will be capped at 300 runners per race to insure a quality experience.
Runners from 32 states and 3 provinces came to the 2016 Last Chance BQ.2 to make their Boston dreams come true. 41% of them did, taking advantage of the course, the weather, and the perks to beat their qualifying times and register on the spot (Early Registration, 5 minutes under qualifying time) or 2 days later at the start of General Registration.
Last Chance BQ.2 is an early September race for runners looking for 1 last shot at qualifying or improving their qualifying time. It is held just before general registration opens for Boston (if past schedules hold true), and the weekend before the Advocate Health Care Fox Valley Marathon Races.

Only 2 of them – Last Chance BQ.2 – Chicagoland and Last Chance BQ.2 – Grand Rapids are designed and focused solely to help runners get to the 2017 Boston starting line in Hopkinton MA. With that focus, it should be no surprise that they were ranked as the qualifiers with the highest percentage of finishers in 2015, (over 50% for BQ.2 Chicagoland).
